KICKSTARTER EXCLUSIVE: ONE BUILDING FOR EACH BAND
almost 3 years ago – Thu, Jun 17, 2021 at 04:48:11 AM

The board of Scarface 1920 is a projection of the Chicago from the time of the gangsters: with its districts and neighborhoods, its underworld, its (corrupt) authorities, its prison, its federals, its clandestine warehouses... or its buildings, that are the stars of the new stretch goal unlocked.

The buildings are mind-blowing miniatures created by Bigchild Creatives that are available to all gangs. When a gang takes control of a neighborhood, it places the building of its color in that neighborhood and you can start doing business. So far, we had the same building model for all gangs, each in its own color, but now...

You know what? Thanks to your support, we have just managed to ensure that each gang has its own building model. In other words, the buildings will not only differ by color, but there will be four different models, one per gang. And of course they are all inspired in the real Chicago architecture of the 1920s. Isn't that cool? Well, wait until you see the next stretch goal...

STRETCH GOAL UNLOCKED: TAKE ME TO THE THRONE!
almost 3 years ago – Thu, Jun 17, 2021 at 04:32:11 AM

Hey! Be quiet! Do you hear that? It's the unmistakable engine of the Cadillac getting closer. And do you know why? Because the next stretch goal comes on wheels: the chauffeur's card.

As we told you before, Scarface 1920 players must build the most powerful gang in Chicago through gang members and Associates. The chauffeur is one of those gang members who is not part of the player's starting deck, but who can be unlocked as the game progresses and the power of the gang grows.

Cunning and cautious, the chauffeur is an ideal card to prepare the ground for battle, the siege on enemy neighborhoods. When the chauffeur goes into action, he can send one  enemy thug back to his safehouse, as long as he is in an adjacent territory where the player has any thugs. And the best thing is that, for a small price, he can repeat this action and clear the terrain of enemies, paving the way for his colleagues to attack. Sounds good right?

Remember: surrounding yourself with trusted men is one of the keys to reigning in the Chicago of Scarface 1920. And remember, also: we have more stretch goals in sight. Go for them!

KICKSTARTER EXCLUSIVE: STAY IN JAIL!
almost 3 years ago – Thu, Jun 17, 2021 at 04:32:05 AM

New stretch goal achieved and it is not just any: Kickstarter exclusive for all backers!

Scarface 1920 is a super immersive game in the Prohibition era. From the characters to the buildings, but also the gaming experience of each player. In fact, each game starts with the news that Prohibition begins and ends with the end of it. What happens in between is the story that each of the players writes.

Well, in this immersion exercise, one of the elements that the players will find are the News, that is, real events that will happen periodically and that will have an impact on the development of each game. Like, for example, the card that you just unlocked and that will only be available to those who have backed the game on Kickstarter.

While this card is in play, each time a player executes the reorganization phase having already used his entire hand, he will not get his thugs back from jail, as would have happened under normal circumstances.

Moral: always wake up with one eye on the newspaper, since you do not know what event could change the rules of the game and ruin your strategy...

KICKSTARTER EXCLUSIVE: CONTINUE? YES!
almost 3 years ago – Thu, Jun 17, 2021 at 04:31:59 AM

A new kickstarter exclusive goal of the campaign is on the way... congratulations to all the backers! Those who have backed Scarface 1920 will have a very special exclusive Job card: Increased Security

As we have been explaining in different updates, the neighborhoods are an essential part of Scarface 1920, since it is there where the sale of alcohol and weapons occurs. That makes neighborhoods a clear target for all players, as the more neighborhoods you control, the more ability you have to raise money.

Increased security is a job card that grants something like an extra life to the owner of a neighborhood. For this card to come into action, the player must use the boss and spend 2 guns. Then, you will place the Increase Security card under a neighborhood of your choice. If an enemy sieges that neighborhood, he will not take control, as would have happened under normal circumstances, but the card will act as a protective shield. The attack will kill the card, but the neighborhood will not change hands.

Remember that Increased Security is an exclusive kickstarter, that is, it will only be in the game version of those who have backed the Scarface 1920 Kickstarter campaign.

STRETCH GOAL UNLOCKED: HIRE THAT MAN!
almost 3 years ago – Thu, Jun 17, 2021 at 03:58:46 AM

Didn't I promise you that there would be other Associate cards in the Kickstarter campaign? Well, here comes the next one: Masked Robber, also three stars and belonging to the theft crime type. Welcome!

A card that belongs to this type of crime, as you can imagine, will not only help you fill your pockets with goods and money, but also to empty those of your rivals. In this case, our friend the Masked Robber grants three Muscle Points and one Influence Point when played, as well as giving you a few bucks for every car you own in or around Chicago's Downtown District.

But Smiles (that is his name) is even more devastating if it comes into play in combination with another card of his own crime type. Masked Robber allows you to benefit from the sales carried out by one of your territorial neighbors who, in case I have not told you, are also your enemies!

I don’t need to tell you that this is a very interesting card, right? And that we have other Associates in sight, do I need to tell you?
